catch up: weeks 24-27

I am type A personality. It is a curse. It really is. So the fact that I haven’t blogged my weekly posts in four weeks is about to drive me crazy. The reasons for my absence are as follows:

1.) I never get ready to take a picture on the days that my husband is around to take the picture. And by the time he is home on the days that I did get ready, I am looking skanky bad.

2.) My dog ate my power cord to my computer. No lie. This is not a “my dog at my homework” kind of excuse. The little turd seriously chewed a hole right through it. Therefore my computer went dead, and I had no way to revive it until I received my replacement in the mail.

3.) We just moved houses. We have been looking into renting a bigger house since we learned of Baby Cam’s arrival but nothing has come up. Then one day a house about 6 houses up the street from us had a for rent sign in the yard. We took the bait and called the number on the flier. Turns out the house was a whole lot bigger than the one we were in and we moved. And I have no internet at the house now. (I am at Nate’s office blogging.) Not that I would have time to blog in between all of the unpacking and such.

So here I am…catching up.

24 weeks (1)

25 weeks

*Week 26’s picture never got taken.*

27 weeks

*Notice the change in background. New house, new background.*

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 27 weeks! Only 13 more to go!

Size of baby: Baby is the size of an eggplant.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I have gained 10 pounds from my pre-pregnancy weight.

Maternity Clothes: Heavens to Betsy yes! My growing midsize can’t fit into the anything else. Not to mention my growing backside!

Gender: It’s a boy!

Movement: All the time! Little one is so active and it is very visible to anyone watching my belly. He just squirms and moves and everyone can watch him in action.

What I miss: I miss my independence. It is so hard, especially while moving, having to ask everyone for help to lift boxes and so things that I was once able to do.

Cravings: Sonic, water, and most anything else.

Symptoms: The giggles. Using the bathroom on myself from laughing or sneezing. My back is having some serious issues.

Best Moment this week: Watching Camden move around with Nate’s family and seeing Mrs. Russell feel it! It’s the best experience ever!

Hello you wild man,

I am falling more and more in love with you daily that sometimes I think my heart might explode. We just moved into a house 3 days ago and your room is currently filled with boxes, but I promise that it will be cleaned and decorated by the time you make your big arrival. I also start school next week, so take it easy on your poor mama during the day! You are a heavy one and my back pays for it! I love you little guy. Only 13 more weeks until we meet!

Until next week,

Mommy

Belle

I recently realized that I have not been blogging about a huge part of my family. That stops today. Because they have so much to {say!}

Today is Belle’s turn!

SONY DSC

Ruff! I am Belle and I told my mom, rather begged her to let me share with you guys! Let me tell you a little about me.

I love to eat. Actually, love is an understatement. If eating could earn me a golden seat in doggie heaven, I would have a gold plated mansion.

Can I have a treat?

I also like to lay around. My mom says I am fat, but I say I am padded perfectly.

My favorite person is my dad. He rubs my belly and talks to me in crazy voices and even scratches my butt. (That’s my favorite!)

Uhhhhh, I think its time for a treat!

Speaking of talking in crazy voices, these people who I call owners talk for me all the time. Will someone please tell them that what they think I am thinking isn’t at all right! Geez…all I ever think about is food and laying down. What about that needs to be communicated?!

Treat. Treat. TREAT!

My favorite part of every day is night time because I get a bone. I usually eat it in one seating. But that dang poodle that mom just had to have always bothers me. I growl and show my (lack of) front teeth and he stays just far enough away that I can eat it peacefully.

Something I hate is rain. I love to swim but I am terrified of storms. My mom calls me a titty baby but look at my delicate self people! One gust of wind and I will be blown away! We can’t have that.

The other day I was left inside because it was raining and mom and dad had to run to town. I decided that I would tell them what I think about that!

So I chewed up the blinds and ripped off part of the window seal. Yep. That will show them.

I was wrong. When they got home, Dad was mad! So mad that I got a whooping. (It didn’t hurt though. But I would never tell him.)

Is it time for a treat yeeeeeet? This story is hard to tell…I need some sympathy food.

After Dad finished saying what he said (I didn’t understand much…the steam coming out of his ears was pretty distracting) I hid. Mainly to make myself look pitiful.

How do you think I did?

Good, right!

Well Mom just rattled my food bowl so I am going to go see if anything showed up in it. If not, well I guess I will lick my butt. I mean, ummmm, I will go clean myself as every lady does!

Until next time humans.

Mom, can I have a treat NOW?

23 Weeks

I am 23 weeks this week.

Only 17 more to go!

23 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 23 weeks

Size of baby: Baby Russell is the size of a large mango. He is also about 11 inches long and should be weighing in over a pound.

Total Weight Gain/Loss: Gained probably about 10 pounds so far. I am starting to feel heavier these day.

Maternity Clothes: Yes please. All pants are maternity and the majority of shirts I wear are too. Its all just too comfy to wear anything else.

Gender: It’s a boy!

Movement: Holy Moly Yes! Little Man moves like crazy all during the day but at night my insides become a wrestling ring and he morphs into some form of Hulk Hogan. (Lets hope this Hulk Hogan thing ends at birth…I don’t want a son like him!)

What I miss: I miss lifting things. I never realized how much lifting I actually do during the day…laundry, vacuum, pups! If I forget and try to lift something my body quickly reminds me to put it down!

Cravings: Steak Escape, bread, and water.

Symptoms: The giggles. I have mentioned them before but I am not kidding…I laugh at just about anything these days and I absolutely can not stop.

Best Moment this week: Buying all the fabric to make baby boy’s bedding. Mom, my grandmother, and I are making a quilt and it is going to be adorable. I am hoping this will be a tradition for all the grandbabies.

Hello you little mover and shaker,

You are on the go all day long in your little habitat these days. I find myself wondering if that means that  you are going to be very active. I also find myself dreaming all day about what you look like. I have no choice but to be patient and wait 17 more weeks, but I am dying to get my hands on you, stare at your sweet face, and kiss your handsome cheeks. I am still hoping you look like your daddy. Also, you went to your first Boston Red Sox game this weekend. I say first because I know that your daddy will want to take you when you are older to see them for yourself. Oh the fun that is to be had. Stay snug as a bug-

Loving all of your sweet moving,

Mommy
